Gorn, Oculus Quest with Oculus Link, Goliath Level 2
I came up with a new wire arrangement so I don't knock the opposite dangling end of my Link wire around. Much better. I also had to turn up my Guardian zone alerts so that I can be more aware of where I am while I'm playing. Unfortunately I don't really have a large room where I can set up my PC.
I always wanted to try the huge hammer, but it's so floppy it really isn't very satisfying. The video makes me laugh, but in game it just felt really loose. The iron fists are funny though. Sometimes you just have to figure out how to make your own fun.
This level takes me a few tries. At least it doesn't reset me to the entire beginning of the level when I die.
It took a few days for me to acquaint myself with the Quest. There were some disappointments, and the way Oculus Link works is a little wonky sometimes, but all things considered, it's not a bad platform. I'm enjoying what I'm doing with it, and I'm glad I have access to a wider array of VR apps than just what's on PSVR. But I wouldn't tout it as amazing or the future of VR, since I have so much experience already with PSVR - the Quest is just another platform to me. There is a level of quality people deserve out of their VR platforms - hopefully soon the competition between Oculus, Vive and Valve will give people a VR platform worth diving into headlong, and we don't need to listen to everyone saying omg it's so awesome when it's just one corner of options. We just want a good VR platform, because it's VR we want.
