1,533HALO VR IS FINALLY HERE! After years of dreaming about a full VR Halo game we now have the incredible Halo Combat Evolved VR mod available for PCVR users and it's completely FREE, so not only is this one of the best VR mods out there it's also one of the best FREE VR games too! Halo Combat Evolved VR is a full VR mod (complete with motion controls, smooth turning, 6DOF aiming, physical melee and a gesture activated torch) only works on the original version of Halo Combat Evolved, this won't work with the Master Chief Collection, but don't worry because that original version is now freeware/abandonware and can be downloaded fairly easily via the internet archive - https://archive.org/details/HaloCEPC. You'll also need a separate Halo PC patch/update - https://archive.org/details/halopc-patch-1.0.10 and then the VR mod itself - https://github.com/LivingFray/HaloCEVR. Once you've got all these components and you've followed all the instructions on the VR mods homepage you'll be able to dive into the full HALO Combat Evolved campaign in glorious VR, you can play it all from start to finish and experience it in a whole new immersive way that genuinely looks more incredible than ever!
Halo VR has become a reality and I couldn't be happier, this is one hell of a VR mod and hopefully it paves the way for the other games in the Halo franchise to receive their own VR mods in the future. Personally Halo 2 and 3 would be all I need, especially if someone could figure out how to play them co-op. This Halo Combat Evolved VR gameplay was captured on PC with a Quest 3 connected via Meta Quest link, for the best experience make sure you go into the Halo settings and ensure the framerate isn't set to 30fps!!!
