Playthrough of Halo Wars Definitive Edition Mission 11 - Cleansing on Legendary Difficulty.

Spirit of Fire is pulled deeper into the Forerunner world. However, Flood forms managed to infest a large portion of deck - and the Sentinels who are awakening to combat them do not belong to the friendliest aswell. The Crew is now attempting to remove the infestation.

I expected Cleansing to be a second major roadblock in my campaign and i was not surprised. It's very easy to lose combat score here, and that one is the msot important in this mission when attempting to claim Gold medal on it.

From the start of mission there are couple of things that need to be done in quick succession to ensure the lesser number of Flood forces appearing as reinforcements:
- Spartan team heads up to the right split on front of the Deck, cleaning up the area from Flood and allowing Forge to collect crates there without issues, after which they proceed to Upper airlock area to defend it from Trasher Forms
- Hornets must be sent to both areas on the left and right of lower airlock to begin cleaning the Flood Nests there, as they will continue spawning Flood Swarms - and those will make your life a living nightmare
- Infantry on lower deck must stick together to clean up incoming infection forms. Hellbringers are shining here, if you prodvide them with upgrades.

If you manage those steps correctly, you should be able to elliminate all the flood nests on left and right side of ship by the time the first ring arrives. In meanwhile Sentinels will join the fight, first attacking Flood forces but then also targeting your troops. With time they will send larger teams against you, so stay on guard. I guess this is the time to provide the rundown on necessary upgrades:
- Wolverines: Dual Launchers are MUST HAVE. You will need a lot of damage to beat Super Sentinels and Wolverines are your best bet.
- Hornets: Wingman is self explainatory, its one of best upgrades for cheap price
- Hellbringers: Napalm Adherent and Oxide Tank will ensure the demise of all Flood infection forms.
- All towers: Missile Launcher is a no brainer against Sentinels.

Clearing flood forms earlier will allow you to rack the necessary 100 Sentinel kill count early on, saving you time for Time Bonus, aswell as potential mission completion before 4th Cleansing ring appears. Skull will be located at the very fron of the ship.
