UNSC Scouts discover Covenant forces approaching a Forerunner Relic. Before they can engage the enemy and find out what was the primary reason of enemy operations on Harvest, they have to reestablish the Alpha base.
This mission serves as your introduction to base building mechanics, after which it gives you an objective - to reach the Relic. However, on your way are various Covenant forces and ho boi - they sure love massing Hunter squads, capable of obliterating enemy vehicles. Thankfully, UNSC thought of amazing counter - and mounted it on a vehicle. Quite ironic, isnt it?
Meet Canister Shell. This upgrade to your Scorpion Tanks provides them with active ability that launches a highly volatile projectile that can destroy enemy infantry. Thats right. My solution to the enemy hunter spam is pure petrol.
Skull objective is rather easy - Taking out 20 Hunter Jackals is not a difficult task, and can be easily done with just Forge. However obtaining Gold medal requires you to be fast, complete all objectives in a time limit and to be efficient with the use of troops. Try to destroy middle Covenant fortress ASAP so the constant Hunter reinforcements wont be a problem. Then blast your way towards Relic interior to complete this mission. I actually never obtained Gold Medal on this one - until now.
