Background:
This combo has a lot of modifers going into it, other than that it is not too complicated.
We are going to do the combo in two different ways, one ambush where you attack people at range to one shot with a simple hammer of wrath, aswell as a melee version with Nutcracker Grenade.
Both types are built around buffing Hammer of Wrath. For that we got the following ”well known” ways:
Ashen Hallow (100% damage boost)
Wasteland Propriety (6% versa)
Mad Paragon legendary (30% damage boost)
Standard buffs (Avenging Wrath, Seraphim, all types of strength consumables and badge trinket)
Aswell as the conduit Hallowed Discernment, to boost Ashen Hallow damage.
To boost the damage even further, we are going to use a few different sources.
The first is the legendary ”Of Dusk and Dawn”. We are actually going to benefit from two legendaries at the same time. You will proc this legendary before shifting into Mad Paragon, and the benefit will remain!
This is also the case with the insignia pvp trinket (the one that procs strength) you can unequip it and equip another strength pvp trinket, and still keep the procced strength.
We will use a 2 handed weapon as protection, since 2 hander gives a larger damage boost than using 1 handers.
The final powerup outside of BGs, is the a tea world buff called ”Theotar's Ascendant Tea” It is obtained from the Venthyr assault in the maw. It is on a rotation however so it is not always active!
You obtain the buff from the quest ”A tea for every occasion” starting at Theotar. You then enter Tubbins and serve yourself the tea. This buff is a 25% damage and HP boost for a whole 5 minutes. It will persist almost everywhere (atleast when tested during last venthyr assault)
All of these powerups, will together make hammer of wrath crit upwards of 30-40k in the outdoor world. This at the same time as Ashen Hallow ticks, makes the damage about 50k!
The close combat way to do the combo, is to CC the enemy while using Ashen Hallow, followed by nutcracker grenade and then finally hammer of wrath.
The ambush strategy builds around using the of dusk and dawn legendary proc, aswell as trinket. Then simply Ashen Hallow and combo the tick with hammer of wrath
The combo is very effective, however I noticed something is off with the crit chance when combining all of this. Either that or I am really unlucky.
The showcase against Kattis (with hammer of wrath at range) took me 15 tries to get a crit. 15 tries at 37% crit chance (with seraphim and Avenging Wrath) I need to dig deeper into it to see if there is something bugged or if im just 0.1% lucky.
