Sent a Kerbal to check out Duna but during the decent my miss-staged retro booster on the power lander detached the Kerbin Return pod in the upper atmosphere. Now with no Power our helpless kerbal can only fall down to the planet as I suddenly released I need to reset all the parachute pressures moments before impact so that they will deploy before he hits the surface. Oh look 2 moons?

Once landed I realize a design flaw in the vessel (besides the accidental staging) and our Kerbal will have to wait for a rescue or for his limited air supply to run out and then "magically" return to the KSC. What a mess.
