Hardcore Paladin - Part 24 - Children's Week
Children's Week is a chance to give back to the orphaned children of your faction. The orphanages of Orgrimmar and Stormwind will each lend you an orphan child to escort on a magical journey across Azeroth to see the grand sights of your faction and meet one of its most famous heroes!
The minimum level to pick up these quests is 10, although some of the journey may be difficult to complete at low levels.
If you do the entire line, you will be rewarded a total of 4900 experience and 885 reputation (974 for humans) either with Alliance or Horde. You can also collect one of four prizes: Piglet's Collar (Mr. Wiggles), Rat Cage (Whiskers the Rat), Turtle Box (Speedy), or Curmudgeon's Payoff, which awards 5.
Differences in Children's Week between Classic and Retail
Structurally, Children's Week is very similar in both Classic and Retail: take your orphan on a series of quests to see famous sights of your faction and meet one of its famous leaders.
In Classic, there are only two orphans, the Orcish Orphan in Orgrimmar and the Human Orphan in Stormwind. In Retail, in addition to the Orcish and Human orphans, there are 6 more: Blood Elf and Draenei orphans in Shattrath, Zandalari and Kul'Tiran orphans in Dazar'alor and Boralus Harbor, and Oracle and Wolvar orphans in Dalaran.
In Retail, the orphan quests earn battle pets and battle-pet gear. In Classic, there is a choice of Piglet's Collar (Mr. Wiggles), Rat Cage (Whiskers the Rat), Turtle Box (Speedy). Instead of a pet, you can also choose Curmudgeon's Payoff, which awards 5.
