Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 hasn't even officially released yet and its ALREADY collected 25 million dollars domestically from advance ticket sales! The majority of the sales have reportedly been for midnight screenings, giving Deathly Hallows a legitimate shot at beating the $30 million midnight record set last year by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The Deathly Hallows mega-release will hit 4,375 theaters and over 11,000 screens in North America alone on Friday. The 3-D movie also debuts this week in every major foreign market except China where it premieres Aug. 4.

Some records in danger of being KILLED by potter include the worldwide-opening record of $394 million set by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the largest opening day of 72.7 million set by The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and biggest opening weekend currently set by The Dark Knight with 158.4 million.
