Haze (PS3) Bot Deathmatch Gameplay -No Commentary-
The worst part about Haze was that it could have been and should have been so much better than it was. The same team behind Timesplitters had a ton of talent, and I don't know if it was Ubisoft, the publisher, pushing publising deadlines, but this game came out and became infamous in the fanboy flame wars of the PS3 vs Xbox 360. Now, I don't hate haze, and I liked it for what it was at the time. There is definitely technical issues, and other things that should have been ironed out, but the game, nonetheless was published and pushed out the door in an unpolished state.
As it stands though, I enjoy the game, but it definitely wasn't up to the standards of Free Radical's previous games which is a shame. It's bot deathmatch is still fun to play, and it had a good following in online coop play. Up to 4 players could take the game online and play the singe player game with each other. It's online Deathmatch wasn't bad either. I had some fun playing back in the day.
Overall, Haze was a let down, but it certainly isn't as bad as the fanboy flame wars made it out to be. I would say six or seven out of ten material in my opinion. It definitely needed some layers of polish, and feels rushed. Unfortunately, in the 7th gen, one bad game could end a developer, so the failure of Haze sealed the fate of Free Radical Design which is a shame.
