Headshots in Dark Souls 3 are a severely underrated mechanic as it bypasses most normal hit restrictions, such as poise, or the receiving player being in a roll on their own game. It also stuns for a fair amount of time, which means some attacks can combo from it. Since headshots often land at a distance, this weapon art is perfect and claiming a combo despite that.
