Aaaaand now for something much more relaxing. This one's been on my upload list for a while, but feels fitting after such an intense Bot HVA. While Evacuate missions are always a sweaty affair on Bots, the Bug versions are much more relaxed. The perfect opportunity to try out some more meme-y setups...
Mine balance is one that attracts a lot of debate. The fact that you can deploy them earlier means you can technically start those cooldowns earlier which helps make up for the longer cooldowns, and in theory they're better at taking out staggered spawns with one use. However, the damage done by each mine can feel a little underwhelming, and there's not so many situations where you'll get the chance to stack lots of mines on one location.
Evacuate High Value Asset missions are one of those situations however, letting us get the most out of them (and kickstart this planet's terraforming process...).

Build:
Mines. All the mines. I wish I could give you better intel on how many mines it takes of each type to kill different enemies, but honestly it was impossible to tell when the floor is lava/explosions. What I can say is, with just mines and some EATs that we could also stockpile, we had enough to hold off the enemy hordes. Staggering our mine deployments would help avoid chain explosions, but where's the fun in that?
I took this as an opportunity to also gear up with some basic starter gear - Liberator honestly feels pretty good for bugs as does the Peacemaker, and hopefully I'll do a "straight out of basic" build for a full mission soon. Frag grenades feel a little less useful, though this was probably the best situation for it with so many scav / hunter spawns.
