Intel Core i5 CPU (M460 @ 2.53 GHz)
8GB RAM (Server is getting 7)

My server batch file looks like this:
java -Xms512M -Xmx7G -jar ftbserver.jar

After upgrading from 4GB to 8GB ram, we saw no difference.
Server GUI says that 300 MB is being used, with usually over 95% memory free.
Threads: 3+3
Avg tick: 50-55 ms
Avg sent: ~10-15; Size: 300-1000
Avg rec: ~5-10; Size: 20-50

Task manager usually says 30% RAM being used, 25% CPU.
Bandwidth usage (upload) seems to be 1 KB/s or less.

Where can the lag and random timeouts/disconnects be coming from?
