랜덤 소환과 머지 시스템을 활용한 디펜스 게임입니다. 골드를 사용해 랜덤한 유닛을 생성하고, 이를 **이동 및 병합(머지)**하여 더 강력한 유닛으로 진화시키며, 계속해서 몰려오는 적들을 방어해야 하죠.
생성된 유닛은 자동으로 전투에 참여하며, 방향키나 화면의 컨트롤을 통해 전체 유닛을 하나의 방향으로 밀 수 있습니다. 이때 동일한 단계의 유닛이 인접하면 2048 스타일로 합쳐져 상위 유닛으로 진화하게 되며, 유닛의 스탯과 시너지가 강화됩니다. 진화하면서 시너지가 바뀌기도 하므로 조합을 신경써야 하죠.
적들은 웨이브 방식으로 몰려오며, 필드 외곽을 따라 순환 이동합니다. 유닛은 각자의 공격 범위 내 적을 자동으로 타격하고, 생존한 적이 100마리를 넘기면 게임오버가 됩니다. 10웨이브마다 보스가 등장하며 처치 시 보너스 보상을 획득할 수 있죠.
전투 중에는 적을 처치해 골드를 얻고, 일정 킬마다 보석도 획득할 수 있습니다. 골드는 유닛 소환 및 병종 업그레이드(근접, 원거리, 마법사)에 사용되며, 보석은 고레벨 유닛 확률 상승이나 특정 유닛 확정 뽑기 등에 활용됩니다. 다양한 스킬도 보유하고 있어, 전투 중 전략적으로 활용 가능합니다.
하지만 2048이라는 이름과 달리 정해진 횟수나 제한된 공간 내에서 최적의 머지를 설계하는 퍼즐적인 요소는 약한 편입니다. 기본적인 게임 흐름은 오히려 자동생산 디펜스 게임에 가깝다고 볼 수 있습니다.
또한, 키 조작 관련 불편함이나 버그로 보이는 행동들이 존재하며, 일부 기능은 설명 없이 숨겨진 단축키로만 작동하는 경우도 있어 개선의 여지가 있습니다.

Hero 2048 is a merge-based defense game where you summon, combine, and reposition units to fend off endless waves of enemies. Spend gold to spawn random heroes on the field, then slide all units in one direction—if two of the same kind meet, they’ll merge into a stronger unit, upgrading their stats and abilities.
Enemies circle the perimeter of your base and must be taken down before 100 of them slip through, triggering game over. Every 10 waves, a boss appears, offering extra rewards if defeated.
Defeated enemies grant gold and occasionally gems. Use gold to summon more units or upgrade melee, ranged, and mage categories, and gems to increase high-tier summon chances or pull specific units directly. Strategic use of active skills is key to surviving tougher waves.
While the merge mechanic is inspired by 2048, the game doesn’t follow strict puzzle limitations—it plays more like a real-time auto-defense game with casual merging elements. Directional movement and random placement keep the gameplay dynamic, but some aspects—like unclear hotkeys and missing pause features—could benefit from polishing.
