So off camera, I went and triggered another secret. This one is only available after you have access to the final dungeon, so I had to go allll the way back to Shaoyong on the other side of the map. Travel time alone took 10-15 minutes. Anyways, once there, you have to talk to the King's Shadow who mentions the Ultra King will have something for Dan in the final dungeon. Then you need to go back to the dungeon and enter the first teleporter on the left, which is empty otherwise. Now the Ultra King will give Dan his best equipment.

After that, I continue exploring the dungeon where I left off. One of the teleporters actually teleports you BACKWARDS with no warning, so I wasted some time accidentally backtracking when that happened. There's also a lot of TP restoring items and full healing items to stock up on on the way. You're gonna need them.

33:27 - Boss Battle #38: Enhanced Birdon

The first boss in this onslaught is a proper fight against the Enhanced Birdon form a few parts ago. Now it actually fights back It can take 2-3 actions per turn and absorbs fire attacks. It starts hitting you with fire attacks when its HP lowers.

36:38 - Boss Battle #39: Yapool

Immediately after, we have to fight Yapool. Fortunately, the whole team can damage him and not just Dan. He can take up to 3 actions, hit the party with an AoE, and heal. Something that these bosses started doing were have their defense go through the roof when their HP lowers. By that I mean normal attacks were only dealing like 1 point of damage for some of my characters. When that happens, you are pretty much forced to use your strongest Specials to actually hurt the boss and counteract any healing they may do. This is why you want as many TP restoring items as you could carry on your way here.

42:30 - Boss Battle #40: The-O (Scirocco)

The O is pretty much the same as the last time we fought it, just really damn tough. It can take multiple actions and hits pretty hard, particularly with its party wide attack. Its defense increases when its HP lowers, so the same strategy as with Yapool applies here. Shu and Dan were lifesavers in these battles because their damage output is absurd.

49:07 - Boss Battle #41: Kaiser Crow

This was the hardest boss to fight for me. The reason being is that ONLY Kotaro can hurt the guy. Everyone else may as well just be there to toss healing items. This can be really annoying when the boss starts to heal for more damage than Kotaro can dish out. Eventually I managed to take it down. I started using Bio Rider form to have a solid single target attack that costed less TP than Robo Rider's did, but maybe one of the others would have worked too. I wasn't going to experiment so long as I had something that could work.

56:54 - Boss Battle #42: Shadow Moon

Shadow Moon is much easier than Kaiser Crow, but we have to fight him back to back. But basically, whatever worked on The O and Yapool, will work on Shadow Moon.

1:03:10 - Final Boss: XN Geist (Apollon)

And here we are, at the final boss. He's actually...kind of a pushover. The only issue you may have with him is that he comes after 5 other bosses, so you may be drained of TP restoring items. You can always go back and restock, but I managed to beat him without doing that. Like Psyco Gundam, XN Geist has a second HP bar and changes forms when the first one is emptied. XN Geist can hit for decent damage and has a party wide attack, but it's nothing anymore threatening than what we had to get through to get here. Hell, it seems to have less defense than the other bosses, because my attacks were working even up till its last phase. This isn't quite a victory lap, but it's close.

After we defeat Apollon we get a short epilogue that wraps up rather quickly in my opinion. I get the feeling they just sort of rushed it to the end, as is usual for a lot of RPGs. But oh well. I enjoyed the game a lot more than I was expecting to. I don't normally play SNES games and this is the first one I've ever beaten. I'm glad it got translated because it's funny enough to be worth the effort and the game is pretty fun, if a bit repetitive and unforgiving at certain parts. I clocked in about 20 hours on this RPG so I'm glad it wasn't as long as most RPGs I've planned and I wasn't recording this for several months.

Welp, thanks for watching.
