Hero Generations is a turn-based, rogue-like strategy game with the unusual twist that you have a limited number of turns before you die. You have to balance gathering fame and riches with finding a suitable wife before your death. Once you meet up with the perfect woman (no option to play as a woman as yet) you produce a child who inherits various traits from you and the wife you've chosen and then you play on as the child.

The game has been through a successful Kickstarter campaign and is now being re-developed with new graphics as a result. This alpha is playable if a little buggy (memory leaks lead to an eventual crash) and already a lot of fun.

The game does have sound but it didn't come through on the recording so you'll just have to listen to me ramble on instead. Check the website below for details of how to pre-order.
