Shroud of the Avatar is a MMORPG being developed by Richard Garriot, of Ultima fame. After going through a massively successful Kickstarter campaign he now has enough funds to fulfil his vision for a successor to the very popular Ultima Online.

In this video I have a quick run around to show you what it looks like and that it does, indeed, work on Linux. Don't expect any gameplay tips however, unless you've always wanted to know how to fail to kill a deer with an axe.

There's till time to become a backer and unlock special features such as 'The Replenishing Snowball Box' and a 'Coconut Horse'. If you were a big fan of any of the earlier Ultima games then this is a project worth checking out.
