It's a brand new season in Destiny 2, called Season of Arrivals. This new season brings with it a great new public event called Contact. The public event Contact can also be turned heroic too. Making Contact into a Heroic public event increases the rewards you will get, like more Umbral Engrams or Focused Umbral Engrams too. Contact is like a game of Gambit, kill enemies, collect motes, deposit, kill the boss. Easy enough right? To turn Contact Heroic, look out for a orange/red tether from the pyramid ship to a location on the ground. There will be a champion mob there to kill, when you do this, the champion will drop a 'Bloom' Orb. Deposit this 'Bloom' into the mote bank. Continue to deposit motes and blooms until at the very end, if you collected them all the event will turn into heroic Contact.

Umbral Engrams are a new kind of Engram in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals. Umbral Engrams are kind of 'Darkness Engrams'. After a short quest with the drifter, he will give you a Umbral Engram. Take Umbral Engrams to the Umbral Decoder. The Umbral Decoder is located right next to the drifter. You can further enhance and focus what an Umbral Engram becomes by leveling up the Prismatic Recaster. The Prismatic Recaster will need to be leveled up to purchase Gift's of Light and Dark. Gifts of Light and Dark are talent points for your Prismatic Recaster. The upgrades for the Prismatic Recaster essentially and more the most part increase the number of umbral engrams you will receive from playing destiny 2 Season of the Arrivals content. In your Season Pass for Season of Arrivals, there are rank ups at level 32 and 72 which are important to your Prismatic Recaster. These upgrades will allow you to focus even further what kind of weapon or what kind of stat an armor roll will focus in. To level up the Primatic Recaster, you will need Twister Energy. Twister Energy can be rewarded from weekly Prismatic Recaster bounties, Season of Arrivals Season pass level ups and also quests. You will also need Altered Energy to purchase focused Umbral Engrams. Altered Engergy can be found randomly from most activities and daily Prismatic Recaster quests. At Rank 7 of your Prismatic Recaster, you will be able to purchase a Trace Override. A Trace Override is necessary to purchase an armor focused umbral engram, as well as Altered Energy. Some of the new Season of Arrival Weapons you can get from umbral and pyramid focused umbral engrams are: False Promises, a high impact auto rifle. Hollow Words a Precision fusion rifle. Whispering Slab a combat bow. Temptation's Hook a new sword that is like dark drinker. Cold Denial, a high impact pulse rifle or Falling Guillotine an other new sword.
