I seem to be running into a theme of holding the unpopular opinion with these missions.
I do not think this mission is bad but I also do not think that it works the way it is.
Personally I didnt feel anything from it that made me want to play it.

The team completely demolished whatever threat was coming in early on.
The enemies are too slow, not threatening enough and too easy to exploit.
I believe that there need to be some serious balance changes.

When I was playing this mission I was unable to buy any upgrades thanks to a bug/glitch or whatever that I have encountered before but is quite rare.
I do not know how it happens but the only way I was able to fix it in the past was to lose a wave or retry.
Both of which are not an option in an Endurance type mission and the mission itself will prevent you from joining the game in progress.
So keep that in mind.

Looking around I noticed some random Red Bots as survivors. Whether they contribute anything beyond being set pieces to establish atmosphere I honestly cant tell.
The waves continue along and certain new types of zombies are introduced.
None of which stood much of a chance against the team.

After a couple of waves I noticed an option to change my melee weapon into a modified Holiday Punch, only to be immediately mauled by green skeletons.
This is where my biggest gripe with this mission lies and which is probably the reason you cant join a game in progress.
Once you die, you do not respawn unless your team beats the wave.
I hope you enjoy watching other people play the game because thats all you can do.
I guess you could do call outs to help them with incoming threats but I doubt anyone would truly do that.

This was such a massive deal breaker to me that I just didnt care for the mission any more whatsoever.
Even more so because you can spawn in as a zombie during the last wave.
As pointless as that is considering trying to kill your own team doesnt benefit anyone at all but at least its something.
I dont know if the limitation of spawning as a zombie lies with whatever zombie type is part of a wave but being able to do something beyond pretty much nothing would be greatly appreciated.

And yes, I get it. Its supposed to make people value their life. They cant just mindlessly throw themselves at the enemy and respawn over and over and still win.
But lets be honest. People are gonna die if they dont know whats going to happen or how dangerous something is.

On a technical and presentational level I really liked it.
Setting the mood with the breakdown of the front door, sound effects, unique creepy enemies, cinematic camera angles, field of vision changes a la Silent Hill etc.
Its like a game within a game. The problem for me is that I just didnt enjoy playing it.

After being unable to play properly thanks to my inability to upgrade and my lost interest in playing to begin with I just decided it would be best to watch what would happen.

Prior to playing this mission I had heard that plenty of people had trouble completing it and I honestly can and also cant see why.
How do players struggle with something that my team completely obliterates while I'm afk for half the game?

The answer is most likely "Knowledge."
They knew what works and where to position themselves and they knew how to exploit the AI.

My first impression of this mission was definitely not amazing but I also wasnt able to play it properly.
Maybe the next time I'm playing this mission, I'll be able to have a better experience.
