I do like this entire bit, even if technically it's a reuse of the city map. The mazes just before may not have been its finest moments, though atleast it was easy to traverse with the left-hand rule, but the foggy city that's gotten some redecorations done to make it spooky really provides the highlight for this later half. Helps to have a new enemy as well, even if they're really just glorified cacos with homing missiles.

Also, Unhinged's use of map linedefs as its own threat provides HDest with ways to cause various hiccups towards them, both amusing and disagreeable. For instance, if there's literally any dropped pickupables in the corridor where you fight the first boss, it's very possible for the guy to get stuck on them. You'll have to grab said mags before the boss finally moves to where he needs to be, which could be risky when said linedef damages you when it touches you.

The same thing happens at the very end, where the giant wall's supposed to slurp you up. Chucking a revolver towards it completely stops it in its tracks, allowing me to make a daring getaway and escape what in the original was certain doom. Yes, I suppose I probably should drop back down and end the run the proper way, but at the same time, it's funny to use this bit as an alternative ending. Who knows, maybe in the real deal, it could be. I await the full version with great anticipation.
