There are many ways to hint at the existence of a tiny explodable hatch leading to the sewers. From having the briefing just straight up show the entrance, having the description of the map explain the underground tunnels, having light smoke come out from the hatch as a visual hint, having edited tunnel reverbed German speaking sounds as the player approaches the hatch as an auditory hint, all the way to maintaining the tactical map so it can show the fact that there's more to the city than the bigger surface area that the player is most likely going to be spending 97% of their time in.
Not a single one of these were done. D'ya see why it took me half an hour to find the way to progress? The only reason why I don't classify it as a mandatory secret worth binning the entire addon for is the fact that there's transparency on the hatch's textures compared to the other one I saw earlier that isn't see through at all.
