Another playstation Japanese card-based game that was actually based on TCG system (physical cards to be played offline).

After the long section of introduction in the beginning (if you didn't skip them), there will be a major decision to choose your partner. This decision would determine your deck. The first option (Senka, Kikka, Nanoka) gives you yellow deck, the second one (Koyuki) gives you peach deck, the third one (Shiori) gives you blue deck. Each deck comes with their own playing style, and in order to complete the "Album", it's unavoidable to play all decks. So at least the game has to be replayed two more times. Even then, completing the "Album" with only three playthrough will still take a lot of time.

From "Deck Edit" menu in the "Free Battle" option, you can basically see all cards and their effects. Therefore, unlike most of the other card games where cards can't be seen unless after being unlocked first, you can basically learn everything without even playing the game, and also plan ahead of what kind of playing style that you would use on "Story Mode".

There are several decisions throughout Story Mode. This decision would determine the ending, and each character has their own ending so the game has to replayed a few times to see all endings. In the video I managed to achieve good ending for one of the students named Nanoka.

The card game uses a roulette system to determine who goes first. The roulette has 16 ticks but the pointer only stops at one of two locations: north or south. If it lands on south then you'll go first otherwise you'll go second. Since there is a visual form of the roulette, and you have the control to stop the spin, it's technically possible to make the roulette always stop on south. Personally I press the O button when the arrow is around 10-11 o'clock to stop it consistently on south.

As mentioned in the "Tutorial" mode, this PSX game was actually based on TCG system. There is one extra rule added to the Playstation version: the player can draw two cards for each graduated student. This rule definitely fasten the game progress, because all you need to do is to use up most or all your initial hand in order to graduate one or two students, and then your hand will be refilled by two or four cards depending on the number of graduated students, so you'll have new resource to finish the remaining of the round. Therefore, with a good opening hand, one round of game can be finished in less than 5 turns. Without this extra rule, players would need to draw normally on draw phase, or use card effects that allow to draw cards from deck, so you need to build your deck to incorporate the drawing method. With the extra rule you don't need to think about this and go all out to bring resources to graduate students quicker.

"Practice" battles can be utilized to farm cards. Whether you win or lose, the game will pick 10 cards randomly and offer you a chance to trade. However, each card has their rarity so that rarer card can only be traded with one "Rare" or three "Uncommon", whereas less rare card can only be traded with one "Uncommon" or three "Common". But there is no way to know which cards are "Rare"/"Uncommon"/"Common" until you obtain them first and see it on the trade screen.
