Higurashi Ch.4 (Pt 3): Neo Gets the Informant to Talk By Beating Him & Ooshi at Mah-jong

With Neo and Akasaka's last conversation with Rika weighing heavily on their minds, both of them are feeling down and uncertain over their involvement with all the tense events enveloping Hinamizawa and the surrounding region, with Akasaka wondering if he should seriously consider Rika's warning and just leave Hinamizawa. But later that night Akasaka gets a call from Ooshi, who manages to arrange a meeting between his informant and Akasaka, and Akasaka goes to meet with him in Okinomiya, eager to get any serious leads.
But as it turns out, Neo and Akasaka won't be able to just ask Ooshi and the informant for the information they seek just by simply asking about it. Ooshi and the informant inform Akasaka that if he wants to get the information from them as quickly as he can he will have to beat them and an additional person at a game of Mah-jong, otherwise he will have to get dragged around town a bit first before they decide to spill the beans. Akasaka agrees to their terms, and shortly thereafter Neo finds himself playing the most intense game of Mah-jong he's ever read. But Akasaka eventually comes out on top and beats them all at their game, and Neo can't help but find Akasaka a bit cool after everything is all said and done.
