Hollow Knight Hell Mod Part 1 - Welcome to Hell
750As part of doing more modded content here is the beginning of a playthrough of Hell Mod created by 56. The difficulty of the game is noticeably increased and mistakes are harder to recover from. I am not confident of making it through this mod in one sitting and without deaths so I will upload as I complete it in segments. Clearing areas might be a bit slower and I may backtrack for more upgrades since I will play a bit more cautiously to make it to 112% completion. I expect several deaths.
Hell mod changes are (Per the Readme):
* Damage taken is doubled
* Nail damage is cut in half
* Soul generation is cut in half (if you have a shade up you cannot generate any soul until it dies)
* The main soul bar can only hold one spell
* Focus speed is equal to the Deep Focus charm (Deep Focus is even slower)
* Spell damage is 5/6th of its normal strength (a small nerf)
* Zote can't be neglected (so no Vengefly King fight)
The readme also says nail upgrades were removed but that doesn't seem to be the case. Given you start with a 2 damage nail that's probably one small mercy.
Nothing too special about this segment other than a hilarious mosquito pogo fail. I speak to Elderbug as he's my Virgil before I descend into depths of Hell and clear the Soul Sanctum.
