This is a prototype of a game developed by Unexpected Development that was to be published by THQ. It seems to be complete, but before it was released the game ended up being reskinned as "Bobby's World," thought that game was also shelved.
Kevin's Dream has very little at all to do with the movies, but it's Christmas, so what better way could there be then to celebrate it than with this long forgotten game?
I know next to nothing about Kevin's Dream, so I don't really have much to say about it. I am curious as to where it came from considering I'd never even heard of it until recently.
It's about what you would expect from a Home Alone game, generally on par with the SNES and Game Boy games released for the first two movies. The weird mutant versions of Harry and Marv are pretty terrifying (especially the last boss!), but beyond that, it's a simple collect-a-thon platformer that does its job competently. Even with its weird premise, though, it's still a pretty bland game overall.
If you have ever laid awake at night desperately wishing that you had new Home Alone game to cherish, someone apparently saw fit to grant that wish.
I can't say I am one of those people that dared to dream - especially not after the scars left from the first NES game - but still, it's a neat look at a game from the 90s that couldn't be played until now.
