Soldiers from 21st Signal Regiment (Air Support) have marked their homecoming from Afghanistan with a parade through the City of Bath. Three hundred personnel took part in a parade this morning, led by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Graham Addley after a thanksgiving service at Bath Abbey. The Reverend Prebendary Edward Mason said: "We recognise their efforts to bring peace and freedom where there was violence and oppression and we honour their families who will have waited anxiously for this day to come." During its six month tour the regiment supported 3 Commando Brigade and 20 Armoured Brigade. Another 20 personnel from the unit are deploying this month to support 20 Brigade on Operation Herrick 15, providing communications and IT systems to British Forces throughout Helmand, as well as force protection to British personnel in Kabul.
