Q: wtf what is wow arena, wow is a dumb game i leveled to 12 on it once and it was stupid, mmorgs are stupid, ur stupid
A: I completely agree, WoW was a boring tedious farm fest and mmorpgs are boring nowdays, but the PvP in it, at least in the arena was AMAZING fun, tho it had it's balance issues wow was an e-sport for many years until it turned to shit.
The Warcraft series is the reason hon is here today, so the two games are somewhat related!

Q: This seems like alot of effort, custom maps are not even officially supported yet
A: There won't be any custom map support in the future if there aren't any maps to play!!

Q: Everything seems pretty imbalanced at the moment, and only 4 spells?
A: There will be many more spells soon, I am testing simple mechanics to nail the feeling of WoW in HoN First.

Q: What spells will other classes have? Will there be talents or procs?
A: Two talents for some classes such as druid/mage (moonkin/resto) (fire/ice) other details are classified!

Q: When will this be released for testing?
A: Not for months :\
I am working on this project alone, and the sheer amount of custom content is maddening, also especially because I have a high standard for quality, I like to polish.

Q: WoW is a completely different game, how are you planing to deal with the mechanics that don't exist in HoN?
A: This is a great question, there are some things I cannot overcome but honestly even if I could I would probably not go though with it.

You can have up to 9 spells in the HoN engine, and I plan to use 8, with the last one been a button that changes your target spells scheme to one more similar to WoW instead of HoN, it's really useful for melee but i'm not using it in the vid.

Other things like line of sight, damage numbers, global cooldowns, attacking with weapons but then it returning to your back during casting ( paladin for example ) are all very easy to do.

Q: I would like to help test this privately or help somehow.
A: My public skype is RoKetX, feel free to add me and chat, only really looking for people who have played WoW.
I already have someone helping me do the main balancing but I take input very seriously, and appreciate minor flaws been pointed out so I can make this perfect.

Q: How did you get all that custom content in there?
A: Alot of programs, but the main one been 3D Studio max, and the glorious man from S2 who decided to give us a model exporter for it, my god I love you so much.
I had to learn how to use 3D Studio Max alot more then I thought I would have to, honestly by the looks of the tutorials I figured porting WoW models would be a joke, this is just not true, especially when you're porting every single model in the game, many programs and alot of time made it possible.

All the gear is attached separately as well, making gear customization very possible.
I had to almost completely remake nagrand arena to suit hon, as obviously if I just dumped the map straight into the game it would block camera vision so much, took a few days to get it right.

You cannot port effects from wow as they are not models so you have to make them, custom effects can be a pain, but some are really easy to make as you can base them off currently existing spells on hon, but there are just some effects that aren't similar in the game such as paladins casting a heal, god that was a pain, but then there are others that are almost the same as wow like frostfire plate for frostnova and jeraziah heal, all I had to do was change the values around to make it look more like WoW and boom!

Q: you realize you are copyright infringing right?
A: I am truly perplexed at the fact people even bring this up in a way that's so pretentious in most cases and I would appreciate this not been brought up in discussion anymore, all you're doing is trolling.

I am completely aware of the fact these are blizzards models, and yes it's "copyright infringing" so are all those movies you download buddy, so is black mesa, so is millions of youtubes all over the net, all those songs on youtube you can search and get for free that never get taken down because there is no point, so is the sonic unleashed project on sonic retro witch has the entire level set on public download with over 150 thousand downloads so far, so are all the fan games using sprites from nintendo and sega and such, so are all the model ports on the alt avatar forums ( like 60% of the models there are model ports from other games and that's on the OFFICIAL HON FORUMS, including blizzard models, don't see s2 or blizzard taking those down )

My custom map with almost no exposure and no possible profit is going to be a target, so please stop telling me things I already know and let's drop those questions for good!
