Hopeguard is a quiet, atmospheric puzzle adventure that begins with a knight oddly holding a sword by its blade.
As you explore the map, you'll swing the sword to destroy obstacles and examine glowing objects to uncover the path forward.
Progress is often blocked by sealed doors, which require guiding beams of energy to crystal pillars.
You activate an energy stone, then redirect its beam using rotating mirrors or your shield, charging the pillar to open new paths.
Precision in placement and angle makes for some thoughtful environmental puzzles.
As the story unfolds, a dragon takes your arm—and with it, your sword. From then on, your shield becomes your main tool, letting you climb to higher ground and navigate puzzles in entirely new ways.
