How (and how NOT to) drive an MH215HW03 LED backlight
This old panel assembly was trash picked. The LCD panel was bust, the LCD inverter went to the parts bin at work, so I was left with a raw LED backlight and no suitable driver.
The quick data on it, is that the positive supply is the two middle pins of the backlight connector, and the four outer pins are the anodes for the four LED strips. They run about 45-50 V per strip, and they can be run at a maximum current of 60 mA per strip.
In my infinite wisdom, I overdrive them insanely and probably cut their life span in half.
