We get Rank 2 pretty fast in the team fight and totally demoralize most of the ALLY time, such that they start using the /afk method to get out of the match. You can't really blame them though, because this Battleground is pretty much decided by who wins the opening team fight and gets to build first. It's very hard to lose the opening team fight and come back to win. Granted, you can do it, but it takes a lot of coordination and team work and strategy to do so. Perhaps Blizzard should provide an incentive for staying in a losing match? Like giving extra Anima? Maybe at least giving some Conquest? Because staying for any amount of Honor you will receive doesn't seem worth it, most people will just prefer to leave and go a different toon. Which brings up another issue, Deserter should be Account wide, so you can't just /afk and hop on another toon? Maybe if you couldn't so readily just hop back in queue on another toon, people would think more about using /afk before doing it? I'm not entirely sure that alone would fix anything though. So probably best to try a combination of the above? Anything else they could do fix it so people wouldn't want to immediately leave a losing Battleground? Comment below ...
