(iv) resource of India for their economic development?
(1) The British needed timber to supply their royal navy and thus they sent search parties to exploit Indian forest resources.
(2) Britishers needed the expansion of Railways for their colonial trade. To oun train, they needed wood for fwel and to make sleepers that provide stiffiness to railway track.
(3) Large fooest area were cleared to make a way for tea, coffee and oubber plantation to meet growing Eurepean Demand.
