How German football rebooted (and needs to again)
German football has done it before, and they can do it again. They simply need a grand reboot.
We are less than a year from Germany hosting the European Championships, and the mood towards the national team is as low as it has been for a while. Probably since the last time they hosted a major tournament.
Back in 2006, however, the wheels were already in motion for one of the greatest resurgences in modern times.
This film will explain why Berti Vogts was right to call for wholesale changes in the direct aftermath of Euro 96, why Germany had to suffer through the defeats of Croatia, England and the Netherlands, why Germany probably won’t win Euro 2024 and why a German reboot is needed once more.
