2Arsenal are finished, so they say. To say that is to fail to understand just how far The Gunners have come under Mikel Arteta’s management.
He picked up the pieces of the long, slow curtailment of the Arsene Wenger dynasty, the failed Unai Emery experiment and warned his supporters to trust the process and subsequently mounted one of the few realistic challenges to Manchester City’s crown.
Now, they’re tasked with going again, they’re firmly in the mix for another title tilt yet derision is poured on Arsenal because they have yet to hit the heights of their previous season.
