In this quick game design tip/trick, we look at how God of War transitions the player position around the room to allow for more seamless cut-scenes. By using a film technique called whip pan transitions, the developers of god of war can move the player and hide the transition of the game camera in the motion blur created by this movement. this can help with level design and game design because the developer is less restricted as to where the player has to be before initiating a cut scene.
