The CEO of aerial intelligence leader, Kespry and the Group CIO of Shell preview how sensor-based analytics will drive the energy sector into the fourth industrial revolution. Starting in 2019, Shell and Kespry will collect visual and infrared data from drone platforms to analyze maintenance conditions across 200 acres, 44 buildings and 1.2 million square feet of lab space at Shell’s technology center in Houston. Additionally, Shell and Kespry will explore how the combination of machine learning and new visuals sensors can detect gas leaks, cutting costs and improve safety.
