How to Access Debug Mode in Willow (NES) - Retrogaming Easter Eggs #shorts
7,050In Willow for the NES, there's a way to access the Debug Mode which will allow you to warp to just about any location or event in the game.
When you start the game, go to the Password screen and enter this password:
tQW 5IT gxq Xev Vzf xvn
Note that the I in this password is an I as in Isaac.
After entering the password, hit start. You will maybe notice that you have a full inventory with all the swords, shields, magic, and items in the game I am pretty sure.
But the actual debug part of the debug mode can be accessed by hitting the Select button.
Hitting Select will cause two boxes to appear on the screen. Inside these boxes is a value that corresponds to a location or event. You can scroll through these values by holding the B button and tapping up or down to change the left value, or holding A button and tapping up or down to change the right value.
Depending on what values you've set, hitting select again will warp Willow to certain locations or even boss fights.
I found these Warp Coordinates on a channel called @RetroCheats
0, 18 = Nockmaar Castle
10, 12 = West side of cursed bridge
13, 3 = Forest of Death house (gives medicine for Po)
0, D = Po (need medicine first!)
0, 13 = General Kael boss fight

Sometimes warping to a location will cause the sprites to look glitchy and weird, but... that's kinda cool!
