How to Beat Strider (NES) in Under Five Minutes - Part 2 - A Wild Glitch Appears! #shorts
6,499It's possible to beat Strider for the NES in under five minutes, and I want to show you how it's done. Consider this a speedrun tutorial if you'd like. Also, note that this is Part 2 of the tutorial, so if you missed Part 1, watch it here:

At the end of Part 1, Strider Hiryu made it to Australia. As you start the Australia area, head to the left until you run into a set of doors, but DO NOT defeat the guard in front of the door labeled S-5. Instead, stand in front of the door and face left. Wait for the guard to shoot you twice, and you should get pushed into the door and through it to the other side. This way, you can access the Australia base without Key 5.
Now proceed down the elevator, head to the left, slide under the low ceiling, and take the elevator on the left side of the room. This will take you to a new area that has the same music as the Africa levels. So are we supposed to believe this tube just sent us all the way from Australia to Africa?
Anyway, in this new area, drop down and head to the right. Go through the door and down an elevator, then stand up against the right wall. Now hold down and left to duck.
Here, we're going to do the same trick that we performed in Part 1 but in the opposite direction. So hole down and left to duck, then press Right plus Start to pause. Your character will flinch a little. Then hold down and left before you unpause. Repeat these steps until Hiryu gets pushed into the right wall. Down and left to duck, then right and pause. Hold down and left again as you unpause.
When your character starts to shift upward, hold DOWN on the D-Pad to get zipped into the boss room below you. If this doesn't work, simply try again.
In the boss room, you'll see that the sprites are a little glitched out and you cannot attack the boss just yet. Hit select and activate the Jump spell (they call them Tricks in this game) and jump up over the top of this glitched boss guy. I recommend hugging the ceiling with a jump, and don't move too far to the left before you jump.
Exit the boss room to the left, then re-enter to fight the Zain boss, who is now looking significantly better. Or at least less broker.
Once you defeat this Zain boss, you will be sent to the final area. In Part 3, I will show you how to zip through the final area of the game and warp straight to the last boss!
