Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how you can best set your JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker up to work with Apple's Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

The JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker can add some much-needed pop to the built-in speakers on an iPhone or iPad. While this is great for listening to music, podcasts, and movies, it can also make Siri sound much better. This video will explore two things you can do to get the best Siri experience on your JBL Flip 4 speaker that's connected to an Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

And now, let's walk through the first thing you should do, which is to enable Hey Siri on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Step 1. Tap the "Settings" app on your Apple device, and then tap "Siri & Search" on the next screen. The Siri & Search screen appears.

Step 2. Tap the toggle to the right of Listen for Hey Siri. The Set Up Hey Siri screen appears.

Step 3. Tap the blue "Continue" button on the Set Up Hey Siri screen. You'll be walked through saying a few prompts before arriving at a screen informing you that the Hey Siri feature is ready to use on your device. Tap the blue "Done" button on this screen. You'll arrive back at the Siri & Search screen, where you'll see the toggle to the right of Listen for Hey Siri is now moved to the right, in the On position. Now, you'll be able to say "Hey Siri" when you're near your Apple device while it's connected to your JBL Bluetooth speaker, and you'll be able to hear and interact with Siri through your JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker.

And now, let's walk through how you can change pressing the Play button on your JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth speaker to initiate an interaction with Siri on your Apple device.

Step 1. Download the JBL Connect app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. The app is free and available from the App Store.

Step 2. Verify that your Apple device and JBL Flip 4 are currently paired. You can do this by navigating to the Bluetooth part of the Settings app, locating your JBL Flip 4 in the list of devices, and ensuring that it's connected.

Step 3. Launch the JBL Connect app. Swipe through the list of any other JBL Bluetooth devices you have until you arrive at the JBL Flip 4 where you want to change the Play button to initiate a conversation with Siri.

Step 4. Tap the "Settings" icon at the bottom of this screen. The Settings icon looks like a gear. A screen appears that features two choices at the bottom: Play/Pause and Voice Assistant. By default, your device will be set to Play/Pause. Tap "Voice Assistant" to place an orange circle with a white check mark in the upper right corner of Voice Assistant. Now whenever you press the "Play" button on your JBL Flip 4 speaker, it will initiate a conversation with Siri. The Play button is the right-most button in the row of buttons that appear along the top of your speaker.
