How to Add Gift Card on Lyft
0Adding a gift card to your Lyft account is a quick and straightforward process that allows you to apply the card’s balance toward your future rides. This is especially useful if you've received a Lyft gift card as a present or want to redeem one that you purchased for yourself. All you need is the Lyft mobile app and a valid gift card number.
Start by launching the Lyft app on your phone. Make sure you’re logged into the account where you want the gift card balance applied. Once you’re on the home screen, look to the bottom navigation bar and tap the icon that looks like a “U” located in the bottom right corner. This will take you to your account settings and profile options.
From your account screen, scroll and locate the section labeled “Gift Cards.” Tap on it to proceed. Here you’ll see two main options: “Buy” and “Redeem.” If you’re interested in purchasing a gift card to send to someone else, tap “Buy.” But since you’re looking to add a gift card to your own account, tap “Redeem.”
Next, you'll be prompted to enter the gift card number. Carefully type in the number exactly as it appears, then tap the “Redeem” button. Once you do this, the balance from the gift card will be credited to your Lyft account. The amount will automatically be applied toward eligible rides until the balance runs out.
