Turn Off Screen Time on iPhone
0If you want to turn off Screen Time on your iPhone, the process is simple and can be completed directly through the Settings app. Screen Time is a built-in iOS feature that allows users to monitor and restrict device usage, limit app access, and set downtime. However, if you no longer need these controls or are switching to another form of digital wellness management, you can disable Screen Time entirely.
Start by unlocking your iPhone and opening the Settings app. Once inside Settings, scroll down until you find the option labeled “Screen Time” and tap on it. This will take you to the main Screen Time dashboard, where you can view usage stats, app limits, downtime settings, and more.
To begin turning off Screen Time, scroll down to the bottom of the Screen Time page. If you have set a Screen Time passcode, the system will prompt you to enter it before allowing any changes. After you enter the correct passcode, you’ll see several options related to content restrictions, privacy controls, and usage reports.
Before fully disabling Screen Time, it’s a good idea to manually turn off or disable individual restrictions if they’ve been applied. This includes website activity tracking, screen distance, communication limits, communication safety, and content and privacy restrictions. Toggle off each of these if applicable.
Next, go to “Change Screen Time Passcode,” and under that menu, select “Turn Off Screen Time Passcode.” You’ll be prompted to enter your current passcode one more time to confirm.
Once this step is completed, return to the main Screen Time page and tap the red “Turn Off Screen Time” option at the bottom. Confirm your choice, and Screen Time will be completely disabled. You’ll no longer receive app usage reports or have any of the time restrictions in place.
