Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open WhatsApp on your iPhone or Android device and then tap "Chats" in the menu along the bottom of the screen if it isn't selected already. A list of your WhatsApp chats is shown.

Step 2. Hold a finger against any one of the chats in this list, and then pull down slowly. A row of options will be revealed directly beneath the search bar at the top of the screen.

Step 3. Tap "Favorites" in this row. The Add to Favorites screen is displayed.

Step 4. Tap "Add to Favorites." A list of your WhatsApp contacts is shown.

Step 5. Tap to place a check mark next to any of your WhatsApp contacts you want to add to your Favorites contact list and then tap "Done." That menu will close and you'll be routed back to the Chats screen where you'll see your Favorites contact list is open. You can navigate to your WhatsApp Favorites contact list at any time by holding a finger against any one of the chats on your Chats screen, pulling down slowly, and then tapping "Favorites" in the menu that gets revealed.

You can remove someone from your WhatsApp Favorites contact list at any time by navigating to this list and tapping "Manage Favorites." An editable list is displayed. Tap the remove icon next to any contacts you want to remove from this list, and then tap "Delete." That contact will be removed from your WhatsApp favorites contact list.
