Found out you can make a lot of money by giving your officers under Court, at the last row independent and then you trade with them.
Since they're your vassal, they'll also be paying tributes as well.

* I learned this from experience to get trigger ambush everytime.
When you go near an enemy unit, click on their unit and you would see their travel bubble.
Get in the bubble with 25 stamina reserve so you can defend yourself, it's very important, then wait for next turn. They'll attack you.
What I would do is send 2 units, one set in ambush and the other as bait neck to neck.
I use militias unit to save money and make myself look weaker for my bait.
The other unit set in ambush can be fully decked out if you want to wipe the enemy AI completely with no chance of escaping.
Try experiments around with the baiting :)
