Of course, the final fight is against Kagerou, the man who sent us to Yomi. Like previous boss fights, this one also has something unique to it: it has 2 phases. You'll be healed in between so it's not so bad.

Fighting Kagerou is pretty easy, at least the first phase. Yes, this is the only fight in the game that has 2 phases. The first one is a very similar fight you had against yourself in the previous chapter, only much slower and easier. He's actually kind of a pushover since you can stun him with almost any attack. The one attack you want to worry about is one where he swings his sword up and down. This attack will hit you so many times it's not even funny. You can block it, which is nice.

When you defeat him, however, phase 2 will start after a little scene and we're fighting some sort of demon Kagerou. Don't worry, your health will be filled up to the max after the first phase.

So, for the second phase, Kagerou remains mostly the same as before, but becomes a bit faster and stronger. Retains the same attacks as before, but adds a couple "supernatural" ones. The most notable one, and the one you'll probably see a lot is the fire trail. For this one he brings up a trail of fire across the floor in front of him. For this you simply need to step away from him and have him chase you away, otherwise you'll constantly take damage, and it can pile up real fast.

Another attack you want to be careful of is the explosion. Energy will gather around you and create an explosion. This gathering will stay in place so you can run out of it, but you have to be quick before it does.

The next attack, he levitates and creates an explosion all around him.

This not only is an offensive skill, but it also summons spirits to attack you. They also have their own health gauge at the top. One of them is similar to Kagerou, but not as strong or fast. Once you've taken care of them, Demon Kagerou will come back with his same health.

The fight from here on out will remain the same. The only good thing about this fight is the fact that you can block and parry Demon Kagerou.
