Maybe you and a friend had a falling out. Maybe there's someone you don't want to be able to search and find you on the platform. No matter the reason, Snapchat makes it easy to block someone. When you block another user on Snapchat they won't be able to send you snaps or chats, view your Snapchat story or see any charms, or even search and find your account. If you ever change your mind and want to unblock someone on Snapchat, or you just want to see a list of users you've blocked on the platform, I'll include the link to my video in the description and pinned comment that will show you how to do that.
Now let's walk through the steps to block someone on Snapchat.
Step 1. Launch the Snapchat app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. You'll land on your Snapchat home screen.
Step 2. Tap the "Search" icon at the top of this screen. The Snapchat search screen is shown.
Step 3. Search for the name of the user you want to block, and then tap that user's name in the list of search results. You'll land on that user's Snapchat information screen. Alternatively, if you search for a user and don't find them, then they likely blocked you first.
Step 4. Tap the ellipses at the top of the screen to open a menu. If the person you're blocking is a friend, you'll need to also tap "Manage Friendship" to move to the next screen. A menu is displayed where you'll have the option to report or block this user.
Step 5. Tap "Block" in this menu. A window pops up asking if you're sure you want to block this user.
Step 6. Tap "Block." This Snapchat user will be blocked going forward. Again, when you block another user on Snapchat they won't be able to send you snaps or chats, view your Snapchat story or see any charms, or even search and find your account.
