How To Build A USB C NVME SSD External Storage Drive - A Step By Step Guide And Tutorial

In this video I'm showing a very easy to follow step by step guide and tutorial on how to build your own external SSD storage drive which uses an M.2 NVME SSD inside a USB C to NVME enclosure case.

The external USB C to M.2 NVME SSD enclosure case being used is by Sabrent and it is in my opinion the easiest one to use due to its tool-less or Tool-free design and simple to use mechanism.

The NVME SSD being used is the Western Digital WD Blue SN550.

The combination of this enclosure and SSD are great value for money for the performance. Averaging about 850MB/s for both read and write in my speed test on the MacBook Pro M1 Max using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Utility, This combination of NMVE SSD and enclosure is very close to the practical bandwidth of an external SSD connected to a 10Gb/s USB C connection.
