How to build SP Cherie Guide (In-depth Guide) 5 +1 things you must know!
00:00 Introduction
Part 1
Today, we are going to talk about SP Cherie. Just a warning, this guide will be longer than usual as she is a very complicated hero. When SP Cherie was announced in the Chinese Server, she was not well received. When looking at her Talent and new Skills, it did not look appealing at all. However, with a twist of fate, she is now considered top tier in Apex and here is a list of 5 things +1 that you must know if you plan to use her.
1. She is most likely not going to one shot many heroes.
a. Her attack stat went down compared to the flyer class
b. You will also most likely use her new 1c passive instead Legion resulting in only around 1800 ATK in PvP combat
c. Her soldier choices is not the greatest and they doesn’t hit the very hard either
d. She can kill a good number of units but you will also miss some too, do some testing to make sure you understand your limit
e. To sum it up, you need to play smart when choosing a target or use hit and run tactics
2. Her new Talent to Act Again is very finicky but it can also make her very useful
a. Her talent changing from needing to kill a target to being able to AA as long as there is 1 or less enemy within 2 blocks allows her to be very versatile (especially since she has a movement of 6 or 8 with breeze)
b. You will most likely need a few tries and will make a lot of mistakes (I know I have)
c. Initially, I can guarantee you, you will mess up, a lot
d. However, with more use, it will become second nature
3. SP Cherie is obnoxiously confusing to use (this is in regards to skills and soldiers’ selection pre-battle)
a. She has a few nice attack skills. However, her limitation is that she can either be really good at melee or range. Not both at the same time. This is due to the limitation of her assassin skill (Shadow Raid) is not usable in melee range and her best range soldier (Earth Elf Knight) also has melee penalty.
b. This means you have to start thinking about how to use her from the ban pick phase to maximize her potential
c. In other words, it can be a bit overwhelming to use her effectively for some players
4. She is perfect for baiting Single Target magic damage
a. If you are able to ban pick in a way to force your opponent to be using ST magical damage, SP Cherie really shines
b. She is able to use Angels to counter ST magic damage
c. If you add the Angels talent to reduce magic damage by 45% and SP Cherie’s new talent to reduce another 20% and also factor in the flyer tech (aerobatics) to decreased 20% damage when battling on defensive terrain and (Ground-Air Coordination) +20% DEF & Mdef whenever they are in Mixed Forces)
d. With Last Rites and Glory of the World, good luck trying to one shot SP Cherie using any Single Target magic damage
5. So the question is, why is she so good in S8?
a. The answer lies in the triple threat of Light of Genesis, Lucretia, and Kayura who are all strong magic base attackers. They are also fragile enough for SP Cherie to kill them using Melee and the assassin skill
b. Combine her ability to act again, fairly high mobility, flexible strategy and strong against the triple threat meta units, SP Cherie has made her way into many Apex boxes
6. For the +1, SP Cherie is actually super good for PVE as well.
a. Her new Talent allows her to Act Again without the need to kill something makes her usable for PVE, especially against boss like challenges
b. You can also use Legion passive skill to boost her attack up as you normally do not require 6 moves’
c. Add the lightning speed skill for a chance to proc Gale and possibly act twice more often
