Maybe you started watching something on YouTube TV on your iPhone or iPad by yourself and now you want to watch it with a group of people. Or, maybe you just want to enjoy your content on a larger screen. No matter the reason, casting content from the YouTube TV app on your iPhone or iPad to a Roku device is easy to do. The only requirement is that you'll need the free YouTube TV app installed on Roku.
Step 1. Make sure you have the YouTube TV app installed on your Roku device, and that you're signed into your account.
Step 2. Open the YouTube TV app on your iPhone or iPad, and watch the specific show you want to cast to your Roku device.
Step 3. Tap the screen to bring up the onscreen menu, and then tap the "Casting" icon at the top of the window. The Casting icon looks like a TV with a wireless signal on the lower left of it. A Connect to a Device window opens, showing a list of available devices you can cast your YouTube TV content to.
Step 4. Tap the Roku device you want to cast your YouTube TV content to. The content will stop playing in the YouTube TV app on your iPhone or iPad. The YouTube TV app will open on your Roku device, and your content will start playing on that device.
You can stop casting content from the YouTube TV app on your iPhone or iPad to your Roku device at any time by tapping the "Casting" icon to bring up a menu, and then tapping "Disconnect." That content will resume playing in the YouTube TV app on your iPhone or iPad.
