How to Change Alliance & Appearance in Elder Scrolls Online (Fast Tutorial)
5In The Elder Scrolls Online, you can modify both your alliance and your appearance, but the methods for doing so differ:
Changing Alliance:
Unfortunately, there is no direct way to change your original faction (alliance) once you’ve selected it at the beginning of the game.
While the One Tamriel update allows you to play with representatives of other factions in PvE, your original faction remains fixed.
The main reason for this restriction is to prevent one alliance from becoming overpowered in PvP. Imagine if players could switch factions at will—this could lead to one alliance dominating PvP, potentially ruining the balance and enjoyment for everyone.
If you truly want to align with a different faction, your only option is to reroll by creating a new character and connecting it to the desired alliance. Fortunately, account-wide features in ESO make leveling a second character easier.
Changing Appearance:
To modify your character’s appearance, you can use Appearance Change Tokens available in the Crown Store for 1000 crowns.
Here’s how it works:
Purchase the Appearance Change Token from the Crown Store.
At the character select screen, select the character you want to change.
Use the Appearance Change Token icon to customize various aspects of your character, including hair styles, colors, adornments, face markings, facial features, eye color, age, body shape, and voice
