How to Change AUTO Turn Off Timer on TCL TV (Google TV)
There are two types of timers on your TCL Google TV that can automatically turn off the device: the Sleep Timer and the Auto Power Off setting. The Sleep Timer is for short-term use (e.g., falling asleep while watching), while the Auto Power Off setting is for general energy saving.
How to Change the Sleep Timer
The Sleep Timer is a one-time setting that will turn off the TV after a specified amount of time.
Open Settings: From the Google TV home screen, navigate to the Settings icon (a gear) in the top-right corner.
Go to System: Scroll down and select System.
Find Power & Energy: In the System menu, select Power & Energy.
Change the Sleep Timer: Select Sleep timer. From there, you can choose a time interval (e.g., 10, 20, 30 minutes, up to 240 minutes) or select Off to disable it.
How to Change the Auto Power Off Settings
This setting automatically turns off the TV after a long period of inactivity to save energy.
Open Settings: From the Google TV home screen, navigate to the Settings icon.
Go to System: Scroll down and select System.
Find Power & Energy: In the System menu, select Power & Energy.
Set Auto Power Off: Look for Auto power off. You can choose to have it turn off after a set number of hours (e.g., 4 hours). You can also set it to Off if you do not want the TV to turn off automatically.
