How to Change Boot Order to Start from USB Drive on Windows 11 PC (MSI Bios)
To boot from a USB drive on an MSI motherboard for a Windows 11 PC, you'll need to enter the BIOS and change the boot order. There are two main methods to achieve this: a temporary boot from a specific device or a permanent change to the boot priority list.
Method 1: The One-Time Boot Menu (Best Method)
This is the recommended method as it doesn't permanently change your boot order. It allows you to boot from the USB drive just once without affecting the default boot sequence for future startups.
Insert the USB drive into a USB port on your PC. It's best to use a USB 3.0 port if available.
Restart your computer.
As the PC is booting up and the MSI logo appears, repeatedly press the F11 key on your keyboard.
This will bring up the Boot Menu (sometimes called the "Boot Override" menu).
Use your arrow keys to highlight your USB drive. It will likely be listed under a name like "UEFI USB Hard Disk" or the brand name of your USB drive (e.g., "SanDisk").
Press Enter to select the USB drive. Your PC will then boot from the USB.
