To enable Secure Boot on an MSI motherboard for a Windows 11 PC, you need to access the BIOS and ensure that your system is configured to use UEFI mode. Secure Boot is a security feature that requires your system to be in UEFI mode, not the older Legacy/CSM mode.

Step 1: Access the BIOS and Check UEFI Mode
Restart your PC.

During the boot process, repeatedly press the Del key to enter the BIOS menu.

If you are in "EZ Mode," press F7 to switch to "Advanced Mode."

Navigate to the SETTINGS menu and then select Advanced.

Find the BIOS CSM/UEFI Mode or a similar setting. Make sure it is set to UEFI. If it is set to "CSM" or "Legacy," you must change it to "UEFI." ⚠ ️ Warning: Changing this setting may prevent your PC from booting into Windows if your Windows drive is not in the GPT partition format. It's recommended to back up important data before making this change.


Step 2: Enable Secure Boot
After confirming that the BIOS is in UEFI mode, navigate to the Security menu.

Find and select Secure Boot.

Change the Secure Boot setting from Disabled to Enabled.

If the option is grayed out, you may need to go into a sub-menu like "Secure Boot Mode" and change the mode to Custom or Standard before you can enable it. If prompted, confirm that you want to reset or enroll factory default keys.

Step 3: Save and Exit
Once you have enabled Secure Boot, press the F10 key to save the changes and exit the BIOS.

Your PC will restart, and Secure Boot should now be active. You can verify this in Windows by typing msinfo32 in the Start Menu and checking the "Secure Boot State" in the System Summary. It should say "On."
